Due to possible severe weather in Burlington tonight, the July 4 fireworks display has been postponed to a later date. The safety and concern of the public is of utmost importance to the City of Burlington.
As the fireworks vendor needs to start setting up the display beginning at 1 pm, the disappointing decision to postpone the July 4th show needed to be made well in advance of the show’s starting time to keep the community safe.
Staff is working with the vendor to reschedule the show. As soon as the new date is available it will be announced on social media and the City website.
