W. State Street Road Construction
The City of Burlington has begun Phase I of the Utility and Street Improvements for the new Aurora Health Care Facility.  Phase I of this project is expected to be completed in November of 2015.  This phase of the project will take place on W. State St., beginning at Oakland Avenue and continuing westerly approximately one mile to Spring Valley Road.  This project consists of installation of sanitary sewer from N. Oakland Avenue to the Aurora site, and a watermain extension from 857 W. State St. (United Methodist Church) to the Aurora site.  Road reconstruction will take place on W. State St. from N. Oakland Avenue to Westridge Avenue  In other areas, asphalt will be replaced where trenching has disturbed the existing pavement.

During this project, property owners should be able to access their driveways at most times.  However, there may be periods when parking on adjacent street may be required. The contractor will notify property owners well in advance of these occurrences and we ask that affected residents please adhere to the City’s alternate side parking system.

The City’s engineering firm of Kapur & Associates, Inc. will be overseeing the construction project.  During the project, you can find the latest updates on construction projects on their Construction Projects Portal at: http://construction.kapurengineers.com/bu
